Fees & Rebates

What are the fees?

The Australian Psychological Society has set the standard consultation fee at $267.  However, to make our fee structure more accessible, the payment for each standard 50-minute consultation is $225.

If you have a Mental Health Care Plan, which can be arranged as part of your referral in consultation with your GP, you will be able to claim the Medicare rebate of $88.25 per individual session for seeing a general psychologist. This will make your out-of-pocket expense $136.75 per session.

Please note: I do not offer bulk billing.

Do I need a referral from my GP to see a psychologist?

No, you do not need a referral to access this service. Getting a Mental Health Plan as part of your referral is completely optional. If you do not have a Mental Health Care Plan, the full fee of $225 per session applies. You may contact us directly to book in your first appointment. Depending on your private health cover, you may be able to claim under Psychology services.

Cancellation policy?

SMS reminders for appointments are sent to clients 72 hours before their scheduled appointment. If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, please let the clinic know as soon as possible. Cancellation fees are currently set at 50 percent of the above scheduled fee ($225) if you cancel within 24-48 hours of the appointment.

The full scheduled fee ($225) is payable if you fail to attend an appointment without prior notice or cancel on the day of the appointment. You will not be charged a cancellation fee if we are able to reallocate your session to a client on the waiting list.

To cancel or reschedule an appointment, you may email us at admin@holisticpsychologyforwomen.com.au or call us.

Are sessions confidential?

Information expressed during sessions is strictly confidential. The only exception to this is when updating your referring doctor with information on your progress and requests for further sessions (if required) under the Medicare system. We are also legally required to disclose information to a third party if there are concerns around your safety including risk of harm to you or another person. We are also bound by law to report suspected child abuse, neglect and unregistered firearms.

Are all sessions via Telehealth?

Yes, our business currently offers sessions via Telehealth (video or phone). However, this may be subject to change in the future. Please check back later this year if your preference is for face-to-face sessions only.

When are you available for consultations?

I’m available from 9am - 5pm on Thursday’s, however if you are wanting an out of hours appointment or appointment on a Saturday, please let me know and we can talk about what would be convenient for you.
